Flowol

I have used this program and find it to be quite limited although i'm sure there are add-ons which could benefit the use of this program. I can see how this could be used with younger key stage 2. Above is the image of when i used it. Has anyone used this and found difficulties?

Discrepincy with e-snips

I was wondering if anyone had any trouble uploading their files to the website. To be fair i have successfully uploaded 3 of 4 files. However i am having trouble with my final one, it has uploaded but is unwilling to play through the website. I wondered if any one else has had a similar problem and been able to solve it? This to me has again highlighted what lecturers have said with the need to back up your files, so i will definatley be doing from now on.

Podium Podcasting?

AFter investigating this program myself and like most not really reading instructions i found this to be quite a tempremental tool. However upon further use in the session and with a few hints and tips from my lecturer i have been able to navigate my way around the program much easier now and can see the full potential that resides within it. Following watching the video's of schools using it so rigerously to create radio shows, i don't feel i would take it to that extreme but i definatley plan on looking at using through my next TP. Has anyone come across anyother podcasting software for me to try?

Super dooper music looper!

I was amazed with just how easy this program was to use and i am now very keen myself to impliment it in school. I have always been a huge fan of music but have never been musically gifted or taken enough time and effort to become so. But with this program it gives the pupil/child the chance to create their own peices of music for whatever purpose and not have to even pick up an instrument. I am very impressed with the program and can't wait to get it myself! I would like to know if anyone has seen it in school and how it was used? good/bad or whatever?
Following having trouble putting my work from the lecture onto blogger, i have now used e-snips which has been very user friendly and have successfully uploaded all my work from ICT this term. Here is the link http://www.esnips.com/web/hellisforheroesisshawnsStuff/ , hope all the work is up to your expectations.

Animation making

I really enjoyed making my animation, however i did underestimate how much time and effort it would take. I would like to know of other peoples techniques and ideas of how they created it. If you could tell me what props, camera's, programs etc that you used and how easy/hard it was to use it would be much appreciated,

Hope you enjoy!

Music program continued

Following downloading the Fruity loop studio, i found itnot to be what i was looking for. It was not user friendly or quite what i wanted, it would be perfect for a proffessional musician who was looking to record backing to a track. Upon further investigation and disscussion with my housemates, we found http://www.jamstudio.com/, which was perfect. It was just the program i was looking for, very userfriendly, quite simple and offers good quality sound. I would love it if you could try this site out for yourself and tell me what you think of it? could you use it in school? what do you think the benefits are? thanks

Stickfigure sucessful and Music programs

Following the recent recommendation of the stickfigure animator, i found it to be very useful and very user friendly. I would like to know if there are any free downloadable extras/props? this is defniatley something i will be trying to bring into my next practice. I have also had disscusions with my fellow house mates and wondered if there was a possible program that could be used to create music? does any one know of any that are free to test and see if it would be useful? i am currently downloading fruity loop studio and will report back on its usefulness! thanks for listening

First Post

Following my previous practice i had a year one class, ICT lessons often consisted of using a single program called clicker which is to aid pupils with sentence composition. I often found the pupils not to gain much from this experience. They would often just click on random buttons to create a sentence and when they were asked to read it back to you, then 9/10 they were unable to retell you what they had created.
I realise that finding a suitable program for year one classes is quite hard however has anyone come across any which might be better than the one i have described? or has has anyone seen the program clicker used effectivley within a key stage one class and could perhaps tell me how it was put into practice effectivley?
